Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Med Surg 6 South 48’s

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hours per week, Holidays rotate in with regular staff

Length: 13 weeks

Every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department

Requirements:

  • MS License
  • 2 Years’ Experience
  • Must have solid experience as an RN – 1 or more years level 1 trauma experience preferred or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients
  • Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Epic Charting experience
Other Details:
  • # Beds: 32
  • Nurse: Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all MedSurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients current INFECTIOUS DISEASE, also takes MedSurg overflow
  • Float within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units. higher acuity patients would be given to core staff
  • Local candidates accepted
