Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Neuro ICU 48’s

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×4, 48 hours per week, will accept 36’s, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • MO License
  • 2 Years Experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH

  • Float: Will float within scope to meet facility needs

Guaranteed Hours: Yes, 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned
Special Requirements:
– Patient Diagnoses: Ischemic strokes (post-thrombectomy, post-tPA), neuromuscular disorders, seizure disorders, CNS infections, hemorrhagic strokes, subdural/epidural hematomas, ICP monitoring (EVDs/bolts), neurotrauma (GSW,MVC, spinal cord injuries)
– Special Procedures/Unit Details: Vasoactive medications, Central line/Arterial line management, ICP monitoring
CRRT , hypothermia/hyperthermia management, Spinal precautions
– Special Equipment: EVD, bolt
– Will complete 10 hours of stroke education total (NIHSS can satisfy 3 hours of the 10 hours of stroke education if taken in the year, New provider or renewal ACLS provides points if taken in the year) – will complete during orientation

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their family.
