Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – NVICU

ShiftNights, 7p-7a, 12×3, 36hrs per week

Length13 weeks

Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule.  Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule.

Requirements:

  • TN License
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Must have ICU experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
Other Details:
  • Documentation system:  Meditech
  • Number of Beds :  16
  • Patient Ratios :  2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing
  • Contract labor is first to float.  If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment. 
  • Type of equipment:  Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000
  • Patient Experience requirements:  Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients/family members

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU).
