Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a (12×3) 36 hours per week

Length: 13 Weeks

Weekend as needed

Requirements:
  • MO license
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Must be VERY competent,  MUST be able to recover CABG directly from OR independently; Stepdown experience (1yr+), must start and manage Ext Vent Device, run CRT machine
  • BLS
  • ACLS
Other Details:
  • Float Requirements: will float to ICU as needed
  • Patient Ratios:  typical 1:2; will vary during shift based on needs
  • Equipment: CRT machine, Balloon pump, External Vent Device
  • EMR: Cerner / EPIC

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
