- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Medical/Surgical and Med Surg Tele Patients; Heparin gtts, Insulin gtts 3. Certifications: BCLS required; must pass EKG test for this specialty 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Nights 36 hours only; every other weekend required; must work holidays; float at least once a week typical 8. RTO: 7 days maximum auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hours of NBO; Acute Care 8-10 hours of modules; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
