Requirements
– 1 year recent experience
– BMT/Cellular Therapy experience required (3s/4s)
– APHON
– AHA BLS, PALS (RQI Not accepted)
– CPHON (Preferred)
– BMTCN (Preferred)
Patient Diagnosis
– Pediatric hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplantation.
– Presenting diagnosis may include leukemia, brain tumors, bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphomas, blood diseases, immunological diseases, storage diseases, Bone Marrow Transplants and Graft vs Host Disease patients.
Unit Details
– Chemotherapy administration on this unit and others as needed.
– Bone marrow transplant infusion on this unit and PICU as needed
– Moderate sedation for procedures such as bone marrow aspiration and Lumbar puncture
Orientation Details
– Rolling start dates, only 2 candidates per orientation acceptable
– 2 Orientations and 2 EPICs (all virtual) Beacon is offered every other Monday and Inpatient EPIC is to be self – assigned and completed before orientation.
– Unit Orientation dates vary. There will be one 12 hour floor orientation based on candidate availability and facility bandwidth as there are no set days orientation days.

**Facility expectation is RN picks up shifts immediately following orientation completion**

-Former OHSU employees must be away from any/all OHSU facility for at least six (6) months before they may return
– 4+ weeks Credentialing process, orientation requested 2 weeks out!
– COVID19 Vaccine (Dose 1 & Dose 2 if applicable) – COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended. Personnel who are not Fully Vaccinated must comply with the requirements for
unvaccinated individuals issued by the facility.

Candidates who decline COVID-19 vaccination are required to wear a surgical or procedure mask for all patient encounters.
Priority compliance item:
Must be obtained within 24 hours – 1 week of acceptance – risk to falling behind will result in a delayed start, these items must be completed before orientation. please set expectations up front with candidate.

-Release Authorization – this applies for **any new candidates to Aya** Candidate should sign within 24 hours of pipe
-Compass Modules – within the first week
-Background, Work History, and Education Information – We need all the necessary information within a week
• Candidate is responsible for completing up to 10 hours of OHSU and specialty specific modules, independently before candidate will be cleared to work
