Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – NICU II – Nursery
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs/week, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Holiday Requirement Worked into permanent staff rotation
Is there a call or standby requirement? Yes, must be available within 30mins of call, would be placed on call for low census
Requirements:
- CA llicense
- Must have at least 2 years of NICU experience
- Must have at least level 3 experience
- Must have level III experience or above
- Must have couplet care experience
- Must be skilled in breastfeeding techniques & education
- Must be confident working in smaller environment with less resources
- Must be comfortable with stabalization
- BLS, NRP
- Charge experience preferred
- Pediatric/PICU experience would be helpful to be able to float
- RNC-NIC preferred and STABLE preferred
Other Details:
- Charting System: EPIC
- No 1st time travelers
- # of beds 8 beds, average census 2-3 patients
- Ratios 1:2:3, always at least 2 nurses
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients 31 weeks & higher, hyperbilirubinemia, phototherapy, hypoglycemia, IV antibiotics, feeders
- Floating Requirements Yes, will be expected to float and help with other tasks, will float to couplet care
