Travel Nurse (RN) Med/Surg (Medical-Surgical) Newburgh, IN

$1,784.00 to $2,034.00 weekly

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Neuro Surgical 

Shift: Days / 6:30a-7p, 12×3, 36 hrs/week, will accept 48s upon request, Fri-Sun 

Length: 13 weeks

Every Weekend.  Every other holiday.

Requirements:

• IN RN or Compact License
• Minimum 2 years of strong Neuro experience required
• 1 travel assignment required
• Trauma level II experience required
• Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessements, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain managemen, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.)
• Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Recent EPIC experience required 
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS

Other details:

• Unit Information: 37 beds.  Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes partial patient assignment
• Patient Population:  Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psych
• Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires 
• Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required — Subject to change
• No local candidates (40 mile radius rule)
• Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs – No competing health systems or agency logos
