Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Medsurg/Onc
Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36hrs/week, EOW
Length: 13 Weeks
Holiday Requirement: As needed
Requirements:
- ND license
- 2 years’ experience
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Prefer experience with trach and BiPAP
- Prerfer lasix experience
Other Details:
Charting System: EPIC
# of Beds: 31
Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6
Ok first time travelers
Will float to other MedSurg units, if go to tele- a tele RN will do their strips, ER holds occasionally, no mom baby
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Strokes (stroke unit, some acute, but not thrombectomies), HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A fib non RVR, Chest pain, MI after ICU, Cellulitis, AMS/ behavioral, some Tele, surgical overflow- no joints or cranis, everything else, * * oncology (core staff to do chemo), no Onc provider in house current day
