- Unit Notes:JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience & Skills - Greater than 3 years of ER experience required - Charge nurse experience preferred - ER nurses must be able to interpret cardiac strips - Must be able to titrate drips (Propofol, Cardizem, insulin) - Willingness to train to House Supervisor is an added bonus License & Certification - ACLS required - PALS required - BLS required DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SUBMISSION - Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield - If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date JOB DESCRIPTION Role Overview - Emergency Room Registered Nurse position - Charge Nurse may take patient assignments Hospital Assignment Details - 1 day of house wide training - 1-2 days of orientation in the department Unit / Facility Details - 19 ED/Urgent Care beds - Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5 - On occasion, nurse aids are present but not always - 24/7 Respiratory Therapy in house for vents, CPAP, BiPAP - No monitor techs; ER nurses interpret cardiac strips - No required scrub colors Patient Population - Common diagnoses: STEMI, trauma, stroke, COPD, CHF, sepsis Responsibilities - Clock in and out at facility - Titrate drips (Propofol, Cardizem, insulin) - Interpret cardiac strips - Charge Nurse may take patient assignments Schedule (Shifts, Hours, Days, etc.) - Block scheduling available to some extent for night shifters - Self-scheduling not allowed - Weekend requirement: Every third (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) - Holiday requirement: Every other - Low census call on occasion - No floating requirements Travel & Logistics - Local rate applies to candidates living within 80 miles of the facility; client rates reduced by $8.00/hour Exams Performed - Not specified Additional Info - Any ER nurse with a willingness to train to House Supervisor would be an added bonus Cancellation Policy:Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:Night shift 1830-0700, every third weekend.
