Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Shift: Days / 7a-5:30p, 10×4, 40 hrs per week, M-F

Length: 13 weeks
Call: 1 day/week and about every 6th weekend
Weekday call is 1730-0700; weekday call team will complete last case of the day
Weekend call is 1730 Friday – 0700 Monday

Requirements:
  • ME license
  • 2-years minimum experience in Cath Lab/IR
  • BLS
  • ARRT with corresponding sub certification
  • Experience in two modalities preferred (CL, EP,IR/N/V)
Other:
  • Beds: 5 Cath Labs, 2 EP Labs, 2 IR Labs
  • 36 bed pre/recovery area
  • No first time travelers – need at least 1-year travel experience
  • Float between Cath Lab/IR/EP – within limits of skillsets, Might float to help in prep/recovery; RTs will not take patient assignment but help with turnover and flow
Patient types
  • Cath Lab: Diagnostic, LHC/RHC, simple and complex PCIs, cardiogenic shock, Impella, balloon pump, CTOs, laser, CSI, Angiojet, Penumbra, EKOS. Structural heart (Watchman, MitraClip, TAVR) functions as a subgroup of Cath Lab Staff
  • General IR/Neuro-Vascular IR: Diagnostic imaging, simple and complex interventions; (general) neph tubes, feeding tubes, port placements and removal, permacaths/trialysis/PICC/central line, embolization, TIPPS; (vascular) AFROs with or without intervention, fistulagram, carotid stenting Jetstream, EKOS, Penumbra, MMA embo
  • EP: general EP including device implants (PPM, AICD) and ablations
Patient Types Travelers are Expected to Care for:
  • Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Adults and some IR Peds (not common)
  • Take all levels of acuity (diagnostic to cardiogenic shock)
