- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required (18 months exp. required per general policy) 2. Cases: Mixed acuity unit - medical patients with some PCU level care, oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal and pulmonary; unstable strokes and BiPap patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required 4. License: IN state, compact, or IN temp license required in hand prior to start 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12; floating 100% required; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires breaks after 12 months 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions; IN residents considered local; eligible locals offered lower rate 11. Background: Background policy noted - seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Red top, black bottoms 15.
