- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of prior Telemetry experience in large, urban hospital 2. Cases: Non-specialty med-surg patients with sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac disease, COVID-19; post-bariatric procedures 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Days 1:8 ratios; Nights 1:9 ratios; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center); Level I Trauma experience required 14. Scrubs: MANDATORY Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo; information provided once confirmed 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Drips required on all floors including Heparin, Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Insulin, IVIG; chest tubes, tracheostomies, high oxygen delivery systems Critical: 100% nicotine-free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Travelers must go to labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. Will float frequently to meet staffing needs.
