- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: Med/surg with telemetry; acute medical conditions 3. Certifications: BCLS, NIH required (ACLS, NIHSS also listed); BLS, ACLS, PALS must be via American Heart Association if required by unit; copies must be included in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license acceptable; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 or 3x12 nights 19:00-07:30; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week period; facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract 8. RTO: Must be included on application at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible for travel contracts 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility; 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at same rate (also mentions 75-mile radius) 11. Background: Any previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 8 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, not included in 16 hours NBO, recorded on transcript and monitored by compliance team 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, wound vacs Critical: Patient ratios 1:5-7 (listed as 1:6 in details). Two manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Full file due noon Monday prior to start. Orientation every other Thursday, 12 hours total.
