Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Post Partum (PP)

Shift: Mids / 11a-11:30p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • CA License
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred

Other Details:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring.
  • Demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IStat.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborn.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiant warmers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support gyn teaching & post-operative bladder training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching.
