Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - ICU
Shift: Days / 6:45a-7:15p, 12x1, 12 hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- PA License
- 2 years of ICU Experience in Medical Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care
- Epic Experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Previous Charge experience preferred
- Community Hospital experience preferred
Other Details:
- 1st time travelers accepted
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating required between IMCU/CCU
- Patient Ratio: CCU 1:2, IMCU 1:3/4.
Requirements:
2 years of ICU Experience in Medical Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care
Community Hospital experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Epic Experience
1st time travelers accepted
2 clinical references, at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
Separation Period: 6 Months
Floating required between IMCU/CCU

Assist with management of BiPAP
Assist with management of CPAP
Carbon monoxide poisoning

Care of Ventilated Patient
Fresh tracheostomy
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
Pulmonary edema
Pulmonary embolism
Respiratory failure
Suctioning (ETT, NT)
Ventilator Management
Infection Prevention
Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE
Phlebotomy
Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac
Preferred Skills:
Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP)
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
Impella
Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
Sheath Removal
CVVHD/CRRT
Accessing Ports
External ventricular drain (EVD)?
Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
ICP monitoring
Lumbar drains
Post Craniotomy

Candidates expected to complete compliance items in a timely manner. No pushes in start date will be honored.

Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
Medication System : Pyxis
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Patient Ratio: CCU 1:2, IMCU 1:3/4.
May take care of downgrades on CCU at appropriate ratio for skill level of patients
Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics
