Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU/MS Float
Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36 hrs/week
Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
Requirements:
- VA license
- 2 Years Experience
- Experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titrating cardiac drips, and responding to emergencies via Rapid Response/Code teams
- Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin, and handling endocrine/metabolic conditions
- Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC), with cardiovascular experience in pre/post cardiac cath settings
- EPIC experience
- BLS
- ACLS

- PCU average ratio: 5:1 | MS average ratio: 6:1 (May flex up to 7:1)
- RN- PCU/MS Float (MUST be comfortable working ALL PCU and MS units
- Floating: Staffing needs are Re-evaluated every 4 hours, so traveler could float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours)
- Locals Accepted

• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Staffing needs are Re-evaluated every 4 hours, so traveler could float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours). May be required to float to CRCH to Inpatient Rehab
• Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes.
• Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license
• RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission
*Unable to approve any Christmas RTO*
• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks
