Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Labor & Delivery/Well-Baby Nursery/Postpartum
Shift: Days / 7a-7p, 12×3, 36hrs per week, EOW
Length: 13 Weeks
Holidays: work into perm staff rotation
Requirements:
- CA license
- 3 Years Experience
- Must be comfortable running and managing delivery on own
- Must have postpartum and L&D experience
- BLS, NRP, advanced fetal monitoring, NCC certified inpatient OB (RNC-OB) ADV FHM
Other Details:
- EMR: Cerner, Fetal heart monitor is fetal link
- # beds: 10 beds
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: on PP side they may occasionally get a post-op gyn surgery, also will see high risk deliveries, 35 weeks and above, drug babies that go through withdrawal protocol, twin deliveries
- Ratios: L&D is usually 1 to 1-2, follow AWHONN guidelines, postpartum is 1 to 4 couplet care
- First to Float
- Floating: float to medsurg or CCU rarely & only if desired. Will have to work both L&D & PP on unit
