Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Cardio Thoracic ICU 36’s
 
Shift:
 Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36hrs/week, EOW, Weekdays, Holidays within contract

Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Requirements:
  • VA License
  • 2 years experience in an CVICU/CTICU
  • Skills Required: Arterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; PICC line management; Starting IVs; Continuous IV sedation; Procedural Sedation Administration; Titrate Cardiac drips; Titrate Vasoactive drips; strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy); FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure; CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft); Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump; Impella; Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR); Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR); Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention; Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring; IV insulin protocols; CVVHD/CRRT; CVA/Acute Stroke management; Assist with management of BiPAP, CPAP; Care of Ventilated Patient; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Suctioning (ETT, NT); Ventilator Management; Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE; Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac

Cardio Thoracic ICU RN needed, 13 weeks with possible extension

3×12 OR 4×12 (OT billed after 48 on 4×12), Nights 7pm-7:30am, weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract

48 hour contract with OT after 48 available – PLEASE INDICATE CANDIDATE PREFERENCE

**Candidates will be caring for step down patients too because they use the universal bed model.**

BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required

Unit Info: Post-operative CABG adult patients, Acute Coronary. NSTEMI. STEMI. CHF; 8 Beds; Universal bed model such that ICU patients downgraded to stepdown remain in the CTICU until discharge; Hemosphere, Quantum, Accuryn

Ratios – 1:1-2

2 years experience in an CVICU/CTICU; travel experience preferred

Must be EPIC proficient, no exceptions

CVICU

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
