Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36 hours per week, 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks

Length: 13 weeks

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays

Requirements:

  • GA/compact  license
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Experience Circulating
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Int AWHONN
  • NRP
  • STABLE preferred
  • Triage experience Preferred

Other Details:

  • Unit accepts first time travelers
  • Floating: within skillset, may be utilized as a sitter at times
  • RATIO: L&D: 1:2, MB/ante-partum1:3-4 *all depends on acuity
  • Diagnoses-Pre-eclampsia and all related DX related to HTN, GDM, Cardiac conditions, Seizures, preterm labor conditions
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Unknown
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years – Unit accepts first time travelers
RATIO: L&D: 1:2, MB/ante-partum1:3-4 *all depends on acuity
REQUIRED CERTS/SKILLS: ACLS, Int AWHONN, NRP, STABLE Preferred; Experience Circulating Req, Triage Preferred
Diagnoses-Pre-eclampsia and all related DX related to HTN, GDM, Cardiac conditions, Seizures, preterm labor conditions
NICU is level 2
Unit also take GYN patients when census allows.
“We are a modified LDRP, one day the nurse may have labor the next MB or be a Circulator. We do 50-60 deliveries a month with around 50-80 triage patients per month. We also have a NICU, we keep 32 weeks and up. For labor the ratio is 1:2, for MB 1:4 couplet, for ante-partum 1:3 (all depending on acuity).”

FLOATING: within skillset, may be utilized as a sitter at times
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
RTO: MAX 7 days, Blocked Scheduling is Not Guaranteed
WEEKENDS: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
