Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU 

Shift: Days , 7a-7p, 12×3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • NH License
  • 2 years experience
  • Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
  • Chest tube experience
  • Past ICU experience
  • Must have Strong Telemetry Skills
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 2 Trauma Center, Three Star STS Open Heart Program
  • Open Heart experience preferred
  • Temporary pacing preferred
  • Swan-Ganz Catheter experience preferred
  • Other Details:
  • Floating will be on a rotation basis with Travelers floating first

Number of Beds: 25 bed
Patient Ratios : 2:1
Type of equipment : GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows. Puritan ventilator, Hemospheres.
Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
Patient Experience requirements: MyCare board are updated each shift during bedside shift report. Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU).
