Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • WA License
  • 2 years minimum experience in the ICU
  • Cardiac Rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring, vent/trachs and bipap management, invasive line management, ostomy, general drains, chest tubes, IV medication titration; may act as “lead” in ED holding
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • CCRN preferred

Other Details:

  • Charting System & Equipment: EPIC, Alaris (IV Pumps), Pyxis (medication dispensing)
  • Consider first time traveler
  • Patient Types: Respiratory Failure, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI Bleeds, DKA, Sepsis, General Post-operative Patients, CVA’s, ETOH, Overdose: NO craniotomies, major traumas, or major cardiothoracic
  • 16 ICU beds

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their family.
