Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU (CTICU Tower 4)

Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hours per week

Length: 13 weeks

Holidays: Work into rotation

Requirements:

  • AZ license
  • 2 Years’ Experience
  • Strong IV skills required
  • Must have Level l Trauma experience
  • ICU experience
  • BCLS
  • ACLS
  • CVICU preferred
  • CCRN preferred
Charting System: Cerner
Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts
All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED
# beds: 24
Ratios: 1:1-2. High number of 1:1
Scrub Color: Navy
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophogectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy, TAVR
Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. patient ratio of 4:1 on tele. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness.
