Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ER

Shift: Variable, 8’s/12’s, 36/40 hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Night shift; Mix of 8 and 12-hour shifts for total of 72 hours per pay period (one week could be two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts while the next week could be four 8-hours shifts)

Requirements:

  • MN license
  • 2 years experience required
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • TNCC
  • ENPC or PALS
  • Triage experience preferred
  • Art Line experience preferred
  • EPIC experience preferred
Other:
  • First-timers accepted
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Unknown
  • Locals accepted: NO – candidate cannot live within 50 miles of the facility

Emergency room travel nurses are on the hospital front-lines, which is why emergency room travel nurse positions require a candidate who is able to handle a stressful and busy environment. They are responsible for examining patients upon their arrival and carrying out triage tasks to assess their condition. Ability to identify injuries, signs and symptoms, and communicate their assessment to the physician are required for the emergency room nurse. A travel ER nurse assists in patient treatment and explaining prescription information to patient/family among other tasks and must know the facility and government policies as it relates to patient treatment, transfer, and discharge. Educating the patient and their family about continued treatment at home is another task carried out by emergency room nurses before discharge.
