Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU / IMC

Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×3, 36 hours per week

Length: 13 weeks

All travelers are required to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day) based on facility policy.

Requirements:

  • SC License
  • 1+ years experience
  • Must have at least 1 year of ICU + IICU stepdown experience and large teaching hospital size experience
  • Must have previous ICU / IICU stepdown experience with acuity of at least 3:1 and ventilator experience 
  • Must have experience with trauma related injuries such as head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and surgical care that are common on our unit
  • Must have Critical Care experience
  • Epic experience
  • BCLS
Others:
  • Locals accepted: Yes if over 100 miles or 50 miles for Night shift
  • Average Daily Census – 20 (21 beds total)
  • Staffing Ratios 7 RNs, 3:1 maximum
  • Stepdown patient ratio of at least 1:3
** All travelers are required to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day) based on facility policy.
Calling out on a holiday may result in immediate termination.
In addition, travelers are expected to not request time off during the period of December 26 – 31. This will help ensure staffing needs are met during the holiday season. **

Stepdown PATIENT RATIO OF at least 1:3

Must have at least 1 year of ICU + IICU stepdown exp and large teaching hospital size exp.

Must have previous ICU / IICU stepdown experience with acuity of at least 3:1 and ventilator experience REQUIRED.

Must have experience with trauma related injuries such as head injuries, spinal cord injuries, and surgical care that are common on our unit

Average Daily Census – 20 (21 beds total)
Staffing Ratios 7 RNs, 3:1 maximum

*MUST HAVE CRITICAL CARE EXP.

Locals accepted: YES if over 100 miles or 50 miles for Night shift
Pending License accepted: No
Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU).
