Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Telemetry – Merritt 3 Surgical 48’s

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×4, 48 hrs per week, EOW, No call and holiday
Length: 26 weeks

Requirements:
  • ME License
  • 2 years of Med/Tele experience 
  • Charge experience
  • Telemetry experience (Cardiac rhythm interpretation)
  • General post-surgical experience is a MUST
  • BLS
  • Basic EKG certification (ability to read/interpret cardiac rhythm strips)
  • Ortho post-op (total joints, ORIF) experience is preferred
Other Details:
  • Floating: If yes, where Any other unit to care for patients within or below scope of practice
  • Not taking 1st time travelers at this time
  • Level 2 Trauma Center
  • 411 Beds
  • Beds: (48) on Merritt 3
  • Vascular surgical patients comprise a large portion of our patient population
  • Patient Types Surgical:, Bariatric: Gastric Bypass, Gastric sleeve, Vascular Surgeries: carotid endarterectomies, femoral endarterectomies, amputations, AAA repair, peripheral artery bypass grafts, fem-pop bypass  , Urology: TURP, cysto, cystectomy, penectomy, nephrectomy, ureteral stents, General/GI: mastectomy, breast reduction; hemicolectomies, exploratory laps, bowel resection, cholecystectomy, colorectal surgeries; whipples, Ortho: total joint, ORIF, external fixation, Ortho Trauma, ENT: parotidectomy, neck dissection, and thyroidectomy,  Plastics: muscle flaps, skin grafts, Neurosurgery: spinal fusions, laminectomies, craniotomies, Medical Overflow:, CHF, Pneumonia, COVID, COPD, sepsis, cellulitis, GI Bleed, Chron’s, Vascular Gangrene, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc., All beds have remote Telemetry monitoring capabilities
  •  Patient Ratios: RN: Day: 1:4-5, Night: 1:5-6
  • Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner, IV pumps: Alaris, Medication dispensing: Pyxis
